Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information WhoCalledReport ("we", "us") collects when you use whocalledreport.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have.
1. Information we publish about phone numbers
The Site displays phone numbers together with aggregated, unverified complaint data released publicly by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (Do Not Call Reported Calls Data) and the Federal Communications Commission (Consumer Complaints Data), and comments submitted by visitors. We do not publish the name, address or any other identity information of the person or business that owns a phone number, and we do not sell lookups of phone owners. Government data we import contains no consumer names; we only use the city or state of the reporting consumer in aggregate.
2. Information we collect from you
- Reports you submit: the call category and description you write. Do not include personal information – reports containing personal data are rejected automatically.
- Abuse prevention: a one-way salted hash of your IP address, stored with your report to limit spam. We do not store your raw IP address with reports.
- Removal / contact requests: your email address and the details you provide, used only to handle your request.
- Server logs: our hosting provider automatically processes technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
3. Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message (Google-certified consent management platform) before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.
4. Your privacy choices (US state privacy laws)
Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas) have rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. The use of advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under these laws.
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: use the privacy choices link shown by our consent tool, enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser – which we honor – or contact us at contact@whocalledreport.com.
- We do not knowingly sell personal information of consumers under 16.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
5. Data retention
Published reports remain available while they are useful to the public, unless removed under our removal policy. Rejected reports and hashed IP data are deleted after 12 months. Removal requests are kept for up to 3 years as a record of how they were handled.
6. Your rights (EEA/UK/Brazil and others)
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or Brazil's LGPD), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
